Mathematica seeks a passionate, early career Policy Associate to join our Medicare Value-Based Care team in the United States. You will support project activities, client interactions, program implementation, and research to improve Medicare services while controlling costs.

The role emphasizes writing and communication, coordination across teams, and learning opportunities in health policy. Base salary ranges $57,000–$65,000 with ESOP benefits and professional mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the social sciences, public policy, humanities, or health-related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong management, coordination, and organizational skills, especially multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assist managing projects and tasks to ensure alignment with Medicare policy timelines and priorities.
• Coordinate and support tasks to educate health care stakeholders on value-based care policy requirements and best practices by overseeing logistics for webinars and stakeholder communications.
• Support the development and maintenance of technical specifications, user manuals, and SOPs for health care innovations in the Medicare program.
• Draft written materials including emails, newsletter blurbs, and slide decks for Mathematica's rigorous and objective reputation.
• Contribute to collection and analysis of quantitative and/or qualitative data, including focus group facilitation or Medicare claims data analysis.
• Additional duties depending on project placement.
