Job summary

Mathematica seeks professionals with experience designing and delivering real-world data analytics. This role leads the development and deployment of statistical models and operational processes using administrative claims and other data sources, with a particular focus on Medicare APMs and value-based care.

You will participate in performance and payment calculations, production of provider-specific data and reports, and analytics to inform program monitoring and decision making.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years in health policy, health research, or real-world analytics.
• Master's or doctoral degree or equivalent in data analytics, public health, public policy, economics, or related fields.
• Experience interpreting federal regulations and translating them into business requirements and technical specs.
• Experience analyzing Medicare Part A, B, D, enrollment and administrative data.
• Strong quantitative skills: regression, time series, imputation.
• Broad understanding of Medicare value-based care and APMs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage priorities.
• High attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of statistical models and operational processes for Medicare APMs.
• Produce provider-specific data, performance reports, and analytics for program monitoring.
• Develop and test episode bundles, attribution, risk adjustment, and benchmark methods.
• Author project reports, memos, and presentations.
• Contribute to growth of staff expertise in Medicare policy and value-based care.
