Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Lead to advance the Medicare Technology strategy across multiple technology teams and business lines. This senior role drives vendor management, AI enablement operations, and capital expenditure planning, partnering with product, engineering, procurement, security, and finance.

The position requires outstanding cross-functional leadership, healthcare IT experience, and a deep understanding of HIPAA and HITECH regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in healthcare IT, strategic planning, or digital transformation.
• Strong understanding of healthcare systems and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, HITECH).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex initiatives.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve the Medicare Technology operating model by establishing governance, processes, and operating rhythms.
• Own Medicare Technology vendor operations including onboarding, performance, and renewals; coordinate with Product for handoff.
• Partner with AI Enablement to manage AI portfolio, intake, governance, and progression from idea to production.
• Oversee operating and capital expense planning for assigned portfolios with forecasting and budget tracking.
• Lead horizontal initiatives across Medicare Technology to connect priorities, manage interdependencies, and improve end-to-end delivery.
