Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to own the analytical strategy for the Medicare sales organization in New York. You will guide a team of data scientists and analysts, shaping models and insights that drive growth in Medicare Advantage and Part D markets.

You'll partner with Sales, Marketing and Finance, productionize models with Engineering, ensure data governance, and present findings to VP/C-suite stakeholders. This is a high-impact, full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science or advanced analytics
• 3+ years in a lead, staff, or principal capacity
• 3+ years supporting Medicare, Medicare Advantage, or Part D sales or distribution
• Expert-level SQL; Python or R for modeling and pipelines
• Experience with CMS data assets (enrollment files, landscape files)
• Experience integrating CRM and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Strong communication skills for executive narratives

Responsibilities

• Define and drive data science strategy supporting Medicare sales, distribution, and enrollment growth
• Lead a team of data scientists and analysts with priorities and talent development
• Architect end-to-end modeling pipelines including lead scoring and enrollment forecasting
• Own the sales data ecosystem—governance, quality, and CRM/CMS integration
• Translate business questions into structured analytical programs
• Establish best practices for model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring
• Present findings to VP/C-suite and influence strategic decisions
• Partner with Engineering to productionize models and embed insights in workflows
• Represent data science in cross-functional planning and budgeting
