Job summary

PACS is seeking a Reimbursement Accounting Analyst to prepare cost report schedules for Medicare and Medicaid, support audits, and ensure cost data is recorded accurately. The role requires strong accounting background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under deadlines.

You'll analyze costs, validate schedules, and respond to auditors with documentation. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Workday is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
• 3–5 years of reimbursement, finance, or accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel and Copilot-enabled tools
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting preferred
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize data for Medicare/Medicaid cost report filings
• Compile, validate, and maintain schedules to ensure accurate submissions
• Analyze accounts to ensure costs recorded in correct cost centers
• Respond to audits with documentation requested by auditors
• Communicate with managers and facility staff regarding documentation
• Assist with Medicare/Medicaid bad debt analysis for accounting and audits
• Reconcile general ledger accounts related to cost reporting
• Work independently and meet filing deadlines
