Job summary

PACS is seeking a Senior Reimbursement Accounting Analyst to prepare and analyze Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, input data into our cost report program, and ensure proper costs are allocated to departments and cost centers. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and 2–5 years of relevant experience (6–8 years preferred) with advanced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience or equivalent combination; 6–8 years in reimbursement, finance, or accounting recommended.
• Advanced Excel and Workday experience highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and supporting workpapers.
• Analyze general ledger activity and reconcile data for cost reporting.
• Ensure correct allocation of costs to departments and cost centers.
• Research and interpret reimbursement regulations and apply to scenarios.
• Respond to audits with required documentation and data.
• Train team members on cost reporting tasks.
• Reconcile cost reporting GL accounts and understand rate setting impacts.
