Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience.
• 2 years in healthcare/hospital billing; Medicare eligibility knowledge.
• Data entry in FSS0/ASF.
• Familiar with Nebo's eCare editors (Classic/CMS).
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Microsoft Office proficiency for reporting.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and multi-task.
• Hospital billing experience preferred; patient financial matters familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage account balances to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.
• Follow up claims with payers for reimbursement and ensure proper charges are credited/debited.
• Develop, manage, and maintain electronic documents for projects.
• Develop and report project status weekly.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure charges and diagnoses are accurate.
• Communicate with patients and Rush departments to achieve positive outcomes.
• Monitor CMS/NGS/HFS websites for updates to stay compliant.
• Work with the team to cover all related responsibilities.
• Provide constructive feedback and solutions for issues.
