Job summary

CVS Health Corporation in California seeks a senior data engineer to own the Medicare revenue data foundation. You will design and operate data pipelines for member-month, diagnosis history, and CMS files using Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL to deliver timely, auditable data for forecasting revenue.

You will ingest and reconcile claims, eligibility, EMR extracts, and CMS artifacts, implement HCC/ ICD-10 mapping, and partner with enterprise data teams on lakehouse standards, CI/CD, and data

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering.
• 4+ years healthcare data: claims, encounters, eligibility, provider, and clinical sources.
• 4+ years production experience with Databricks / Spark (PySpark), Python, SQL; ETL/ELT patterns and Airflow.
• 4+ years supporting risk-adjustment, actuarial, or finance workloads; PHI/HIPAA controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables for Medicare revenue projection.
• Ingest, normalize, and reconcile claims/encounters, eligibility, EMR/chart extracts, and CMS files.
• Implement HCC/ICD-10 mapping, model-year versioning, and diagnosis-year vs payment-year constructs.
• Own data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and snapshot processes for accruals and audits.
• Collaborate on Databricks lakehouse standards: Spark/PySpark, orchestration, CI/CD, access control.
