Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking an experienced data engineer to own the Medicare revenue data foundation. The role requires deep knowledge of claims, encounters, eligibility, CMS files, and risk-adjustment data, plus production-grade Databricks/Spark pipelines.

You will ensure timely, complete, lineage-traced data to support Finance in forecasting and revenue booking. You will design and operate pipelines, implement HCC/ ICD-10 mappings, oversee data quality, SLAs, and collaborate with

Qualifications

8+ years in data engineering with enterprise data experience.
4+ years in healthcare data: claims, encounters, eligibility, and CMS files.
4+ years hands-on Databricks/Spark, PySpark, Python, SQL.
Experience supporting risk-adjustment, actuarial, or finance workloads.
Strong understanding of PHI, HIPAA, and data controls.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables for Medicare revenue projection.
Ingest and reconcile claims/encounters, eligibility, EMR/chart extracts, and CMS artifacts.
Implement HCC/ICD-10 mappings and versioning to prevent reverse‑engineering source systems.
Own data quality, lineage, and snapshot processes for accruals and audits.
Collaborate on Databricks lakehouse standards, Spark/PySpark, orchestration, and access control.
Provide trusted datasets to Modeling, Finance, Actuarial, and Revenue Integrity.
