Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and scientifically driven Medical Writer to join our growing team. In this role, you will develop high-quality, accurate, and engaging medical and scientific content for a range of audiences, including healthcare professionals, payers, and patients. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including medical directors, account managers, editors, and designers, to ensure that all materials meet client objectives, regulatory standards, and brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scientifically accurate and compelling content including slide decks, manuscripts, abstracts, congress materials, advisory board reports, training materials, and digital content.
• Interpret complex clinical and scientific data from primary literature, clinical trial results, and regulatory documents.
• Ensure all content is evidence-based, aligned with strategy, and tailored to the target audience.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts (e.g., key opinion leaders) during content development and review.
• Adhere to industry guidelines (e.g., GPP, ICMJE) and client-specific compliance standards.
• Support the development of new business proposals and pitch presentations when required.
• Attend and support scientific meetings, advisory boards, and client workshops as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD, or MSc with relevant experience).
• 1–3 years of experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical/biotech environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of clinical research, drug development, and publication processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with high attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with AMA, ICMJE, and GPP3/4 guidelines.
• Experience with referencing software (e.g., EndNote) and content management tools.
• Therapeutic area expertise (e.g., oncology, immunology, neurology) is a plus.
