Job summary

Daniels Health is hiring an Operator for our Walton, KY medical waste treatment facility. You will lift heavy bins, weigh containers, and operate the autoclave and Washsmart systems on the 2nd shift (2 PM–10:30 PM). Strong teamwork and precise paperwork are essential.

This DIRECT HIRE role offers a stable full-time schedule with benefits from day one and a non-negotiable set rate of $20.00 per hour. Prior warehouse experience with heavy lifting is preferred, and fitness for PPE is required.

Qualifications

• Warehouse labor-intensive experience with repetitive lifting (50–75 lbs).
• Willingness to pass a 5-panel urine drug screen.
• Willingness to undergo a 7-year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in PPE.
• Proven longevity with prior employers.
• Positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lift 55 lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate autoclave machine to treat materials.
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization.
• Maintain attention to detail with paperwork for container processing.
• Stand for extended periods and work well with a team.

We are looking to hire an operator for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Walton, KY. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

What will your job involve?

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a warehouselabor-intensive job (repetitive lifitng of 50lbs to 75lb containers!!)
