Job summary

Sanford Health in the United States is seeking a Waste Technician to oversee safe operation of medical waste destruction equipment and ensure compliance with SOPs and government rules. The role is day shift, 8 hours, Monday–Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm.

You will review processes, monitor equipment, maintain safety, and follow procedures. A high school diploma is preferred; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to operate safely in a healthcare waste environment.

Responsibilities

• Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
• Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment.
• Follows all additional standard operating procedures as defined.
