Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a Trash Tech to support our Environmental Services team in Miami, FL. You will collect, sort, and dispose of waste materials across patient areas and facilities, ensuring safe handling of general, biohazard, and pharmaceutical waste in alignment with hospital guidelines.

The role requires lifting heavy objects, following infection control protocols, and working with the EVS team to maintain sanitation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with basic waste disposal, sanitation practices, and safety protocols is preferred.
• OSHA or safety training certifications are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Collect and properly dispose of all types of waste from designated areas within the healthcare facility.
• Ensure waste is properly segregated into categories to prevent contamination and comply with safety standards.
• Transport waste to designated disposal or collection areas, including trash containers.
• Follow procedures for handling hazardous and biohazardous waste in compliance with OSHA and hospital policies.
• Ensure proper labeling and containment of hazardous waste to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
• Regularly clean and sanitize waste collection areas, including bins, carts, and containers.
• Maintain cleanliness in hallways, utility rooms, and loading docks where waste is handled.
• Ensure waste bins are lined with liners and replaced as needed.
