Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Waste Technician to collect and sort municipal waste, including trash, recycling, and medical/hazardous waste, at client facilities. You will weigh materials, maintain records, and ensure safe, clean operations.

This role requires basic education (HS diploma/GED) and relevant waste experience; forklift and CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus. The position is a daytime, on-site role with standard safety expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years recycling or solid waste experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Vaccination records may be required; CPR/First Aid Certification a plus.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Hazardous waste handler training per RCRA may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect trash, recycle, medical and hazardous waste.
• Sort materials by type and inspect for compliance.
• Weigh materials and keep waste records.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety rules.
• Operate heavy machinery as required.
• Work in a team and communicate professionally.
