The role you’ll contribute:

The Medical Technologist II performs laboratory testing according to the Division of Clinical Laboratory Standards and Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 64B3-13.00. Oversees daily operations of various lab sections in the absence of a Supervisor. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Demonstrate competency in laboratory procedures within your scope of practice. Provide diagnostic laboratory procedures based on established standards. Perform testing promptly and ensure staff adhere to turnaround time goals.
• Follow hospital and department policies and procedures. Complete policy reviews timely. Stay current with CAP, Florida, and Federal regulatory requirements for clinical laboratories. Comply with all standards.
• Participate in proficiency testing programs as assigned. Ensure deadlines are met and samples are analyzed consistently with patient samples.
