Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a hospital-based Medical Technologist to provide expertise and support. Join an amazing team that values patient experience as much as we do.

You Will:

1. Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing, analyzing proficiency samples according to instructions within the designated time frame.
2. Take responsibility for the department in the absence of the supervisor.
3. Complete all records and documentation related to patient results.
4. Perform stat procedures within established turnaround times.
5. Use good judgment and independent thinking for interpreting patient results, including performing delta checks.
6. Review logs and resolve workload issues or communicate with staff relief.
7. Perform quality control procedures and handle problem or critical specimens/test results.

You Should Have:

• A 2-year/Associate Degree (required).
• A 4-year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist (preferred).
• A valid State of Florida Technologist License or ability to obtain one during the interview process.
• Technologist license in one or more clinical specialties, with generalist being highly preferred, including Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.
