Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a hospital-based Medical Technologist to provide expertise and champion results. We work as a team that supports each other, and we seek a phenomenal addition who values patient experience as much as we do.

You Will:

1. Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing by analyzing proficiency testing samples according to instructions, completing tests within the allowable timeframe.
2. Assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor.
3. Complete all required records and documentation related to patient results.
4. Perform stat procedures within established turnaround times.
5. Use good judgment and independent thinking in the interpretation of patient results, including performing delta checks.
6. Review pending logs and result logs; resolve workload issues or communicate with staff relief.
7. Perform quality control procedures and handle all problem or critical specimens/test results.

You Should Have:

• A 2-year/Associate Degree is required.
• A 4-year/Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
• A State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain one during the interview process.
• Technologist license in clinical areas such as Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology (Generalist highly preferred).
