The role emphasizes patient safety, quality control, and collaboration with care teams. Candidates should hold MT/CLS credentials or be eligible per CLIA guidelines, with preferred 1 year of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or MT/CLS—certificate per CLIA guidelines.
• MT/CLS certification or eligibility through ASCP/AMT is preferred.
• One year of clinical lab experience or equivalent training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, complex or specialized laboratory procedures on body fluids under supervision.
• Maintain required competencies and demonstrate accuracy in testing and reporting.
• Adhere to patient safety, infection control and quality-control policies.
• Participate in proficiency testing and performance improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses and staff to ensure continuity of care.
