Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress in Cypress, TX is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. You will perform bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological and serological testing on body fluids, ensuring accuracy and quality control.

Join a dedicated team that values patient care, teamwork and professional growth. This role requires a MT/CLS degree with ASCP preferred and Blood Bank experience to independently cover the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in MT/CLS from an accredited institution required.
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Blood Bank clinical experience.
• Must have sufficient Blood Bank experience to independently cover the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, complex or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological and immunoassay procedures on body fluids.
• Communicate effectively with other care providers (physicians, nurses, business office, and medical records) to provide for continuity of patient care and to meet the needs of the customers we serve.
• Demonstrate accuracy for all testing performed.
• Perform related quality control and required proficiency testing according to policy and procedure.
