Job summary

Plan A Health is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality control in a clinical setting.

The role includes performing tests, calibrations, proficiency testing, documenting QC, and entering results into the LIS. You will assist with training, review results for accuracy, manage supplies, and uphold patient confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician License or eligibility within 6 months.
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience, internship completion, and certifications like ASCP or NCA.

Responsibilities

• Performing tests, calibrations, and proficiency testing.
• Documenting QC and corrective actions.
• Entering and verifying results in the LIS.
• Assisting with training and resolving technical issues.
• Reviewing test results for accuracy and consistency.
• Managing supply inventories and participating in professional development.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.

Education
