Qualifications

• Louisiana State License as CLS-Generalist and national MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
• Ability to present before groups and perform basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control studies to ensure data accuracy.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on assigned instruments.
• Verify instrument function and log maintenance data.
• Analyze body fluids to detect normal or abnormal components.
• Enter findings into the computer system.
• Train and supervise students in the laboratory.
• Meet established turnaround times and report critical results promptly.
