Qualifications

• Associate degree is required.
• Bachelor’s in MT preferred.
• Minimum 1 year MT experience preferred.
• Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Specialties include Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing per instructions and timelines.
• Step in for the supervisor in their absence when needed.
• Complete all records and documentation for patient results.
• Perform stat procedures within turnaround times.
• Exercise good judgment in correlating and interpreting patient results.
• Review pending logs and resolve outstanding workloads; communicate with staff.
• Perform quality control procedures and handle all critical specimens.
