• Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Medical Technologist performs routine, complex or specialized laboratory procedures.
• Demonstrates accuracy and maintains required competencies in all departments assigned.
• Communicates effectively with care providers to ensure continuity of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, complex or specialized laboratory testing on body fluids.
• Maintains required competencies and demonstrates accuracy in testing.
• Observes patient safety, infection control and quality policies.
• Performs quality control and proficiency testing per policy.
• Pursues professional growth and identifies improvement opportunities.
