Job summary

MultiCare Covington Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform patient analytic laboratory testing, maintain quality control, analyze data, report results, and perform instrument maintenance. The role requires attention to detail, independent judgment, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities include receiving specimens with proper ID, assessing specimen suitability, preparing reagents, and calibrating instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences is required.
• Master’s degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
• Certification for Medical Technologist (MLS/ASCP) or MT (ASCP) or AMT or MT (AAB) is required.
• Specialist certifications (Hematology, Microbiology, Bld Bank, Chemistry) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens and maintain positive specimen identification.
• Determine specimen suitability for testing.
• Prepare reagents as needed for analyses.
• Perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
