In this position, you will perform and interpret tests at all complexity levels at Medina Hospital, aiding in patient care decisions. This role offers extensive hands-on experience with top researchers and specialists.

We hire our clinical laboratory testing personnel in three job titles, based on educational background:

• Medical Technologist
• Med Lab Technician
• Lab Technician

This role involves night shifts from 8:00PM - 6:30AM or 10:00PM - 6:30AM, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities include:

• Following lab procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting, and record keeping.
• Maintaining regulatory compliance and quality control activities.
• Maintaining instruments and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Participating in continuing education and competency assessments.
• Identifying and addressing test performance issues.
• Providing instruction and training to students and staff as needed.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field or meets CLIA qualifications.
• Licensed in Florida at the technologist level.
• Licenses in Microbiology, Immunohematology, or other relevant areas.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLT, MLS) or eligibility from ASCP.

Physical demands and PPE requirements are specified, including visual acuity, color distinction, manual dexterity, and exposure to hazards.
