This position is eligible for a hiring bonus! Well qualified candidates with less than 2 years of experience are eligible to receive a $7,500 sign-on bonus! Candidates with more than 2 years of experience are eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus. This bonus will be prorated for Part-Time or Per Diem positions. Relocation assistance and temporary housing are available if needed. Please note, this bonus is not available to current MaineHealth employees or those who have been separated for less than 6 months.
The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for independently performing and monitoring laboratory testing of patient specimens. They confirm, interpret, correlate, and report normal and abnormal patient results, recognize technical, instrumental, and physiological problems, and initiate resolutions. They are also responsible for ensuring accuracy, quality control, and instrument maintenance.
