Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids, aiding diagnosis and patient evaluation. The MT/MLS will supervise MLT staff and participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives to support the lab’s mission and patient care goals.

The role emphasizes teamwork, compassionate patient interaction, and adherence to the center’s standards and long-range plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/physical/biological or life science with relevant clinical lab experience within last five years, OR degree in laboratory medical technology with clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests on blood, urine and body fluids to aid diagnosis and patient status evaluation.
• Supervise Medical Lab Technicians as needed.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities to ensure quality improvement.
