Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLS to join our laboratory team. The MT/MLS will perform tests on blood, urine and other body fluids to provide diagnostic information and monitor patient health.

The role includes supervision of MLT staff, participation in quality control, and engagement in Performance Improvement activities to ensure high-quality results and patient care.

Qualifications

• MT/MLS applies tests to samples of blood, urine and other body fluids for diagnostic information.
• Maintains quality control and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Supervises the Medical Lab Technician (MLT) and supports teamwork in the lab.

Responsibilities

• Performs tests of samples to obtain information for diagnosis and patient status.
• Supervises MLTs and ensures accurate lab results.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities and promotes a team-focused environment.
