Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to perform tests on blood, urine and other body fluids to aid in diagnosis and patient management. The MT/MLS will supervise the Medical Lab Technician (MLT) and participate in performance improvement to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a chemical/physical/biological or other life science and relevant generalist clinical laboratory experience within the last five years, OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in laboratory medical technology, with clinical rotation

Responsibilities

• Performs tests of blood, urine and other body fluids to obtain diagnostic information.
• Supervises the Medical Lab Technician (MLT).
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Maintains awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and customers.
• Contributes to a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment and aligns with the organization’s mission and values.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences with clinical lab experience
