Job summary

The Hospital Laboratory at Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Medical Technologist (ASCP)/Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the 3rd shift. The role performs waived to high complexity testing and reports results across hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, blood bank and microbiology per CLIA ’88 guidelines.

Responsibilities include quality control, quality assurance, maintenance, troubleshooting, specimen collection, data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree with MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP) or MLT (ASCP) and work experience to meet CLIA 88 standards for general supervisor position.
• Certified or eligible for certification in clinical laboratory science by recognized certifying agencies.
• Certification must be achieved within one year of hire.
