Job summary
Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a full-time Medical Technologist for its microbiology department. Dayshift position with responsibilities to perform diagnostic tests and provide accurate data to support patient care.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and 2–3 years of clinical lab experience; ASCP MT certification or eligible is preferred. Comprehensive benefits and strong commitment to quality care are highlighted.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology.
- 2-3 years clinical laboratory experience, POCT preferred.
- Master’s or doctorate in chemistry, biology, immunology, immunohematology, or microbiology (preferred).
- ASCP MT certification or eligible; MT (HEW/AMT) certifications also listed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic laboratory tests to detect and analyze diseases and conditions.
- Operate microscopes, analyzers, and computer equipment to provide data for patient care.
- Perform standard lab procedures with independent judgment and high quality care.
