Job summary

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a per diem Medical Technologist for PRN nights including every third weekend and two holidays per year. This part-time role requires a MT/ASCP certification path and offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or equivalent, with preferred advanced credentials. Join our mission-driven team delivering compassionate patient care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology required.
• 40 hours of biology/chemistry coursework show for certification.
• Master’s/PhD preferred in biology, chemistry, immunology or related fields.
• ASCP MT certification or eligibility required.
• If holding a bachelor’s, MT (ASCP) certification or eligible.
• HEW MT certification is accepted.
• AMT MT certification accepted.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology

Master’s or doctorate in related field (preferred)

ASCP Technologist certification (BB, C, CG, CT, H, HTL, MLS, M, MB)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology
• Baccalaureate degree with a major in biological science or chemistry, or baccalaureate degree with a combination of 30 semester hours of biology, chemistry and/or medical sciences, AND meet the training and/or experience requirements for the specific certification
• Master’s or doctorate in chemistry, biology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, allied health, clinical laboratory sciences or an appropriately related field (preferred)
• Possess or be eligible for Technologist certification (BB, C, CG, CT, H, HTL, MLS, M, MB) by ASCP
• With Bachelor's; MT (ASCP) certification or eligible.
• Certified as MT (HEW)
• Certified as MT (AMT)
