Responsibilities include instrument maintenance, quality control, data entry in LIS, phlebotomy as needed, and collaboration with healthcare staff. Requires Bachelor's in Medical Technology and certification; 0–2 years experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or an equivalent field as required.
• Passing score on Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam approved by HHS (HEW).
• 0–2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests with accuracy and timely reporting.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and corrective actions.
• Conducts instrument checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument issues and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures procedures meet safety regulations and uses PPE.
• Communicates results and issues with healthcare staff.
• Assists with proficiency testing and data collection for regulatory compliance.
• Collects urine drug screens and performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Collaborates with team to complete duties efficiently.
• Maintains attendance and complies with policies.
