Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW) required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely reporting of results.
• Adheres to quality control procedures by performing checks, analyzing data, and taking corrective actions.
• Conducts instrument function checks and preventative maintenance per policy.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures safety regulations compliance and proper PPE usage.
• Communicates test results and issues with healthcare staff promptly.
• Assist with phlebotomy duties and data collection for compliance.
• Maintains documentation and supports accreditation activities.
