Frio Regional Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the Laboratory team. You will perform moderate to high complexity testing, process specimens, and collaborate with clinicians to provide accurate data for patient care.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and certification within 12 months (ASCP/AMT) as well as CPR. On-site work with weekend/night/holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment.
• General computer skills and EMR data entry are required.

Responsabilités

• Process specimens and perform moderate to high complexity testing.
• Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids (blood, urine, CSF).
• Study blood cells, morphology, and perform blood typing and compatibility testing.
• Enter results into computer and review data for accuracy.
• Perform quality control and maintain instruments per schedule.
• Calibrate instruments and document repairs or maintenance.
• Adhere to safety and information security practices.
