The Medical Lab Technician II-NR at Mercy is part of the provider care team responsible for accurate and timely laboratory testing to support diagnosis and treatment. The role emphasizes quality, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be enrolled in the final year of a Clinical Laboratory Science Associate Degree Program.
• Licensure: Must obtain required certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of laboratory testing and reporting procedures.
• Accurately perform and document quality control, calibration, and instrument maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot testing issues, document findings, and communicate concerns appropriately.
• Maintain current knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure all testing meets established quality and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, healthcare providers, vendors, and patients.
• Participate in training and educational activities as requested.
