Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist II to join the laboratory team for full-time evening and weekend coverage. The role focuses on accurate laboratory testing, timely reporting, and maintaining quality control in a world-class lab environment.

You will work with LIS/HIS systems, contribute to regulatory compliance, and collaborate with clinicians to support patient care while delivering outstanding service in Mercy’s mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in the final year of a Clinical Laboratory Science AS degree program.
• Must obtain required certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of laboratory testing and reporting procedures.
• Document quality control, calibration, and instrument maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot testing issues and communicate concerns appropriately.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with staff and healthcare providers to ensure patient safety and accurate results.
