A leading health services provider seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized laboratory tests critical for diagnosing and treating diseases. Overview
Performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures for diagnosing and treating diseases. Utilizes equipment, instruments, and computer systems effectively. Evaluates and reports patient results independently within established testing methods. Maintains current knowledge, skills, and competencies, including age-specific requirements. Performs quality control and contributes to laboratory maintenance, including equipment and supplies. Assists in developing new procedures and instrumentation. May oversee specific laboratory projects or functions such as PI, safety, quality control, regulatory compliance, administration, staff development, or computer systems (LIS, HIS, hospital intranet, PC applications). Trains and evaluates new employees and students, serving as a resource for less experienced staff. Performs additional duties as assigned, working independently and as part of a team under supervision.

Licensure
American Society for Clinical Pathology and National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required, or Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or completed NAACLS-accredited program recognized by the ASCP Board as qualifying for MLT, or a related field within 6 months of hire. Certification/licensure required.
Experience
Two years of clinical laboratory experience performing moderate and high complexity testing preferred.
