A leading health organization seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform vital diagnostic tests. The role requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related fields, along with relevant experience in clinical settings. Overview
Performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures for diagnosing and treating diseases. Utilizes equipment, instruments, and computer systems effectively. Evaluates and reports patient results with considerable independent judgment within established testing methods. Maintains current knowledge, skills, and competencies, including age-specific requirements. Performs quality control and contributes to laboratory maintenance, including equipment and supplies. Assists in developing and implementing new procedures and instrumentation. May oversee laboratory projects or functions such as safety, quality control, regulatory compliance, staff development, and computer systems (LIS, HIS, hospital intranet, PC applications). Trains new employees and students, evaluates their work, and acts as a resource for less experienced staff. Performs additional duties as assigned, working independently and as part of a team under supervision.

Licensure
American Society for Clinical Pathology and National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required, or Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or completed NAACLS accredited program recognized by the ASCP Board as qualifying for MLT. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with certification/licensure required within 6 months of hire. An Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or completed NAACLS accredited program recognized by ASCP Board as qualifying for MLT with preferred experience.
Experience
Two years of clinical laboratory experience, including moderate and high complexity testing, preferred.
