Job summary

The role includes teaching staff on procedures and collecting urine drug screens as required. Bachelor's in medical technology and an MT/MLS certification are preferred; acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in medical technology from an accredited institution.
• MT/MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), CLS (NCA), HEW or equivalent certification.
• One year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on all types of blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision.
• Maintains accurate and reliable test results by adhering to a strict quality control program.
• Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Maintains records and statistical data according to regulative requirements.
• Teaches new employees and students laboratory policies and procedures.
• Collects chain of custody urine drug screens as required.
