Children’s Hospital of Michigan is an international leader in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Surgical services include general, thoracic, reconstructive, and cardiovascular. Advanced diagnostic imaging technology designed specifically for children includes Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and MRI. The hospital is a verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a dedicated pediatric burn center. Experts in pediatric critical care, rehabilitation, and neonatal and perinatal medicine provide care across Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Children’s Hospital of Michigan - Troy, and six ambulatory sites.
Under general supervision, performs quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens according to standard laboratory procedures. Analyzes test results, prepares samples, calculates findings, and maintains records. Prepares solutions, reagents, media, stains, and other materials for testing. Processes and tests various laboratory specimens, reviews and reports results, and performs maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. Acts as a resource for other laboratory personnel.
