Job description

Job Summary: $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for a CT Technologist I. We are seeking candidates for that position, but Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels, such as CT Technologist II, based on skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Job Duties
  1. Provide technical expertise to operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire images for radiologist diagnosis and treatment.
  2. Maintain knowledge to operate different CT systems at multiple locations.
  3. Follow protocols based on Image Gently Guidelines and ensure dose data is monitored with alerts for exceeding preset levels.
  4. Possess comprehensive knowledge of clinical histories, major organ systems, and vascular systems relevant to thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neuro, and musculoskeletal imaging.
  5. Obtain CT images according to established protocols, ensuring patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, and protective shielding when applicable.
  6. Perform CT interventional procedures and advanced CTA imaging, including specialized studies like TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging.
  7. Maintain knowledge of pharmacology to ensure lab results are obtained prior to exams.
  8. Understand physiology and physics principles to produce quality scans and minimize patient dose.
  9. Interpret technical factors to optimize scan quality and efficiency.
