Job summary

INDLABPHARM in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and specialized moderate and high complexity tests in a fast-paced laboratory.

You will ensure accurate test results by adhering to quality control procedures, operate and troubleshoot instruments, and assist in data collection for regulatory compliance. The role may include teaching new staff and performing phlebotomy as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW) is required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity lab tests accurately and efficiently.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and documents checks.
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting per policy.
• Complies with safety regulations and uses PPE as required.
• Communicates results and issues to staff and supervisors.
• Assists with proficiency testing and data collection for accreditation.
