Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Passing score on CLT Proficiency exam approved by HHS (HEW) required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely reporting with proper documentation.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and investigates out-of-range results.
• Performs instrument checks, maintenance, and preventative care per policy.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel as needed.
• Ensures safety regulations and PPE usage in all procedures.
• Maintains clear communication with staff and documents abnormal results promptly.
• Collects chain-of-custody urine drug screens and performs phlebotomy as required.
