Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to analyze, interpret, and validate complex procedures on blood, fluids, and tissues. The role includes performing moderate and high complexity tests with accuracy and ensuring quality control along with proper pre-analytical handling.

The position demands a bachelor’s degree in laboratory science (associates acceptable) and certification readiness; ASCP optional.

Qualifications

• Minimum of externship in a CLIA laboratory.
• Good interpersonal and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, interprets, and validates laboratory procedures on samples.
• Performs moderate and high complexity testing per procedures with minimal supervision.
• Post-analytically validates results, investigates deviations, and applies corrective action.
• Performs quality control and pre-analytical processes including patient ID and specimen handling.
• Operates and troubleshoots laboratory equipment and communicates with customers.
