Job summary

Virtua in Voorhees, New Jersey is seeking a Part-time Medical Technologist to analyze, interpret, and validate laboratory procedures on biological materials such as blood, body fluids, and tissues.

You will perform moderate to high complexity testing per established procedures, validate results post-analytically, and document quality controls; pre-analytical steps include patient ID, phlebotomy, specimen labeling, receipt, and shipment.

Qualifications

• Externship in a CLIA laboratory is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity testing accurately and without direct supervision.
• Validates results post-analytically and investigates deviations.
• Performs, reviews and documents quality control per policies.
• Performs pre-analytical processes including patient ID, phlebotomy, specimen labeling, receipt and shipment.
• Operates and troubleshoots laboratory equipment as required.
• Delivers outstanding customer service through effective communication.
• Weekend shift required once per month.
