Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity tests as appropriate for testing department and shift.
• Follow the Laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing.
• Document all corrective actions when the test process deviates from established specifications.
• Perform proficiency testing samples and maintain records.
• Adhere to Laboratory’s quality control policies and document all activities.
• Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance.
• Assist in orientation and training of new employees.
• Prepare various reagents and supplies as needed.
• Utilize the LIS in patient accessioning and monitoring.
• Operate and maintain Laboratory equipment as specified.
• Communicate necessary information to the next shift.
• Review abnormal patient reports daily.
• Maintain and disinfect work area.
