Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking a Medical Technologist for our General Laboratory in Knoxville, Tennessee. This full-time position involves performing high to moderate complexity clinical lab tests to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Candidates must possess a Baccalaureate degree in medical technology, complete a training program, and hold a current Tennessee State License. The role demands adhering to quality control procedures and responsibilities also include training new staff. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or biological, chemical, or physical sciences.
• Completion of a MT training program.
• Current Tennessee State License as a Medical Technologist is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high to moderate complexity tests as appropriate.
• Document corrective actions taken during testing processes.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document all activities.
• Responsible for training and evaluating students and new employees.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
