Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing across General Lab and Blood Bank, under supervision. The role requires maintaining equipment, quality assurance, and training staff to ensure accurate results and regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, ASCP/AMT/AAB certifications, at least 2 years of MT experience including 1 year in Blood Bank, and Epic/3M experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science.
• All certifications are required upon hire (ASCP/AMT/AAB).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Medical Technologist with 1 year Blood Bank experience.
• Epic and 3M experience preferred.
• Active MT license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory testing in General Lab and Blood Bank.
• Maintains equipment and QA records, and participates in quality assurance.
• Supervises and trains staff as needed within the lab.
• Trains new employees and acts as a resource to pathologists.
• Maintains logs, inventories, and instrument maintenance.
