Job summary

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, 2+ years MT experience with 1 year in Blood Bank if applicable, and MT certification (ASCP/AMT/AAB). Epic and 3M experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science.
• Med Tech ASCP Certification or Med Technologist (AMT) or Med Technologist (AAB) required upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Medical Technologist with 1 year of Blood Bank experience if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Works independently analyzing blood and body fluids for ordered diagnostic tests in the general laboratory, blood bank, or microbiology sections.
• Performs routine testing in hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, chemistry, blood bank and microbiology as requested.
• Maintains logs, QC reports, and equipment maintenance records.
• Communicates information to appropriate personnel and participates in shift hand‑offs.
• Serves as a technical resource to other staff and trains new employees.
• Maintains CAP and Joint Commission readiness.
